The Duff
During the past semester, I read “The Duff" by Kody Keplinger, which is 320 pages long. The genre of the book is young adult fiction. This novel is about a young teenage girl named Bianca. She’s not just an ordinary teenager, she doesn’t love to party like friends, nor she doesn’t like to talk to boys. She is considered a Duff, which means “designated fat friend”. A jock named Wesley named her that, because she is the least pretty one of her group of friends Throughout the book, Bianca does have some issues with Wesley. Even though she doesn’t like Wesely, her actions get out of control and she begins to have feelings for him. I enjoyed this book because it was something different than any other teenage love story, it was funny and sweet. It was for sure one of those books you can’t let go of. There are so many intense moments in each chapter, which kept me amused. I felt connected to the book because, I am the same age as the main character, so I have a lot of stuff to relate to her high school experiences. The major points were predictable throughout the book. The writing was simplistic and the characters were static, the only ones that did change were Wesely and Binaca. So far I loved this book, so I wouldn't change anything. If you like drama and romance, I highly recommend this book!

I’ve watched the movie but I’m sure reading it is different, interesting regular high school movie scenarios which are amusing and relatable.
